Almond Butter and Banana Oats

Read Time: 5-8 Mins You will not be disappointed with this oatmeal recipe…literally has been my go to since the beginning of my healthy eating journey and I NEVER get tired of it!

What you’ll need for these amazing oats…

  • Quick cooking oats
  • Pure maple syrup
  • Natural almond butter
  • Banana
  • Organic Cinnamon
  • Plant-based mylk
  • Sliced Almonds (optional)

First, pour desired amount of quick cooking gluten free oats to a bowl and add hot water to it. (Approx. 1 cup to 3/4 hot water) Let the oats rest and absorb the water.

While the oats are resting, add a tablespoon of natural almond butter to a small mixing bowl and pour in small amounts of maple syrup to create the sweet sauce. The more syrup you put the less thick the sauce will be. *TIP add water instead of more syrup if the sauce gets to sweet.

After the oats are cooked and the sauce is ready, add the sauce to the oats, either mixed in or on top, and garnish the oats with banana slices, a dash of cinnamon and the sliced almonds. Along with adding a splash of plant based mylk, this recipe used oatmilk!

Sometimes when I want a little switch up, I will add some chia seeds, hemp seeds, nutmeg, pinch of salt, granola, or even just other vibrant fruits!

Hope you enjoy this one as much I do! Until next time we are in the kitchen <3
