Meet the one behind the lens and screen! 

Passionate about healthy eating for the past 4 years now, I was so eager to create KHG as a way for me to share my tips, tricks, experiences, and of course recipes to the World! It wasn’t until the summer of 2016 that I started to be aware of what you put into your body really matters and has an affect on how it functions. 

 

Growing up I did not always have the perfect skin. And just by the way I eat today, I am walking proof that an eating regime full of dairy, processed sugars, and high sodium foods (such a breakfast sausage) will be able to show from the inside out. Let alone the effects it has on the performance of the brain and body.

I first began my healthy eating journey by eliminating soda. Initially, I had the intention to only give it up for a year. But then I realized that I didn’t necessarily need it. All soda does it rotten the teeth, diminish your gums, stains your teeth, and much more when it get ingested. Which supports what I mean when I say “I didn’t necessarily need it”. Without even knowing it, many children who grow to be adults eat according to what they are feed and given as they are younger. Which don’t get me wrong, is not always a bad thing. 

 

Younger me didn’t know exactly know what was in a bright yellow or blue bag of chips with orange goodness left on my fingers when i was done. Or understood that the average human has a recommended daily intake of sugar. Elementary Kimmy wanted one juice box after the other. 

As I grew older and started to learn how to cook my own food, I began to experiment with ones that would not only do good to my body, but be beneficial to the environment I lived in as well.
